IPL uses light energy to target accurately and remove pigmented or damaged skin cells or hair follicles. Using a handheld device, we will target multiple wavelengths of light onto the skin. Almost everyone can be treated, apart from very dark skinned or tanned individuals. If you are pregnant or taking Roaccutane (an acne medication) it is best not to undergo laser or Intense Pulsed Light treatment.
Most people are suitable for treatment. Best results are often achieved with clients who have fair skin and dark hair. Dark hair is more easily treated as it has a high concentration of melanin. Fair hair, however, contains less melanin and is harder to treat. We recommend a consultation with your clinician to ascertain if the treatment will be successful for you. Grey/white hair has no melanin so is not suitable for treatment.
In 2020, Leanne extended her skill set and trained in Semi Permanent Makeup (SPMU), specialising in eyebrows, and has continually added to her training to improve her knowledge of SPMU not only in the eyebrows but also Lips, Eyes, and Scalp (SMP).
